The Last Chinese Helicopter

Just came back from a performance at the Esplanade called "The last Chinese helicopter" by Shi Jian Ju Chang (the chinese name of a theatre grp). Well, it was performed by Jack Neo, solo appearance.. VERY NICE!

The first part is a talk show by Jack Neo. Well, basically.. He just talked.. And as usual, he poked fun at government and current affair issues with his great sense of humour. There was talks on T.T. Durai and the NKF, fengshui of Singapore, freedom of speech etc etc.. Well, it's kinda exciting, when you are watching a show poking fun at the PAP government, with an MP sitting right behind me. Haha. You can't really hear him laffing alot. Haha.. Maybe cos me and my sis were laughing too loudly ourselves.. Well, at least the majority of the theatre were laughing very loudly.. So that was good..

The second part is a play "The coffin is too big for the hole", a master piece by the late theatre maestro Guo Bao Kun. Also poking fun at government and laws... Haha.. Jack Neo edited some parts of it to make it more relevant to the times now.

On the whole, the performance was great.. Jack Neo was right in the sense that after all our laughter tonight.. We should really go back and think.. Think positively sometimes, not negatively all the time. Though I can't really agree that heavy taxes and payments everywhere is fully justified, but at least part of those goes to building new infrastructure.. So yeah... And the burgeoning government reserves that will still be Singapore's.. Juz not Singaporeans' as individual.

I would definitely want to catch it again if there was ever a re-run.. Good thing that I think Jack Neo is considering more theatrical performances.. =D

New Tagboard!!

Muahaha.. After about an hour of struggling.. I've got a tagboard!! Thanks and no thanks to buddy Ju Leen. =p Well, it was her who helped me throughout, but it was also her who make me do it for an hour instead of 10 mins. Haha.. Ok la.. Thanks anyway, if not I think I'd take a day to figure out myself. Haha... So tag pple!

Think I'm falling sick again.. Sianz.. Oh anyway, on the request of Ms JL, I'd like to rectify wad I said about her eating habits.. *flashback* I said something like my T01 pple got wierd eating habits... Pple who don't eat veges included "Kel, Dil, Ling and JL".. JL stongly contests wad I said.. So I shall now alter the word "veges" to "some veges like carrots and peas" for JL's case. I hope this will make her drop her idea of a defamation lawsuit against me. =D Well, add to that wierd habit.. Ms Dil doesnt eat any freaking fruit. And yes, we all strongly believe she has constipation.. Haha...

Jaded..

I'm jaded.. Sigh. I don't know.. Feel tired. Think I should be sleeping earlier.. Late nights have probably taken its tolls on me..

Recently, I sometimes feel funny.. Like what do I want in life? What do I want to be? SLack school terms din help.. really.. Recently, I start thinking about my JC days again. All the what ifs floating on my mind again.. But not dwellng on it too much.. Just the accidental meeting ups with some NCC juniors brought back memories, good and bad.. Seeing a junior in serving NS and doing OCS now makes me wonder.. Why am I still a civilian.. Why am I counting my days to enlistment rather than my days to ORD..

What do I want in life.. Probably due to the happenings in my life and family.. I thought that all I wanted in the future was a happy family with a decent income. But more importantly, family harmony was the top on my mind. Not that it has changed. But now I'm at a point where I realise the ideal is hard to achieve without going through shit.. Fuck. Wad am I talking about? I don't know.. I think my brain is going to crash like a PC does.. Diao..

Dun worry pple, not like I'm in a disarray or something. But just the things playing on my mind recently.

T01 gang outing..

Went for gathering with my yr 1 mates last night.. Nice of Shuling to organise one.. But sadly only 6 of us turn up.. Me, daryl, cheryl, dil, ling and lionel.. Supposed to meet at 8. But only me and daryl were on time. Shuling came about 5 mins later, Lionel 10 mins.. And as usual, Dil was late.. VeRY late.. -.- Cheryl arrived about half an hour later. and Dil appeared slightly after.. Tsk tsk. Everyone needs a kick in the ass man..

Proceeded to Kenny Rogers.. Had Kenny's Quarter as usual and my macaroni and Cheese! Haha.. Was surprised that I was the only one who ordered macaroni'n'cheese... Hmm.. Wonder if they know that was the best side dish available. Haha.. Had a filling dinner.. Shuling ordered Chicken Pot Pie not knowing the soup inside is filled with vege.. So she had her hands full trying to dig out the chicken slices from all the carrots and peas. haha.. In the end, I helped her gobble up the veges.. (I still wonder why is it a lot of my yr 1 mates got wierd eating habits.. Ling, JL, Dil and Kelly don't eat veges.. Mae don't eat Chicken..) Diao.. I wonder how they get their nutrients.. -.-

After dinner hanged out at Macs for some ice-cream as it was getting pretty late.. Hmm. After that we all took NEL back, with Dil following.. Haha.. She doesn't know wad she is doing, as usual.. She lives in Woodlands! Muahaha.. She can't decide to play xbox with us at lionel's place or not.. Haha.. Well, in the end we did.. Picked up my Xbox from home and headed down to Lionel's place in a cab.. It's wierd that I din enjoy the Xbox last night as much as I do when I play with my gang. Haha..

Been a week..

Wa. So fast. Been a week since I last updated.. Phew.. Still have a little of a runny nose. And some occasional coughing with phlegm.. Diao.. But thanks to my uncle's medication, I'm feeling a lot better now. Heh..

So.. The past week.. Thought sick.. I din really spend much time at home, cept for the nights. Haha.. Sat.. The gang went to Gardens to celebrate GF's bdae.. HAd some western food.. And then headed straight to Chomp2 for MORE food! wahhaha.. We rock man! =D

Sun.. Celebrated my dear nephew's 6th bday at Fish & Co, Changi Airport. Wahha.. Nice food man.. Ordered Seafood Platter for 2 with Qi.. Ate damn a lot that night.. Haha.. And returned home satisfied. Haha..

The rest of the week has been spent with Qi, taking photos for Photo Journ and another afternoon out with Gab at the X-Sq, with Qi joining us later but taking no part in Gab and my grudge matches. haha..

Yah.. 3 more days to school reopening. Sianz..

Damn I'm falling sick.. Grr.. This weather is cooling. But I think it came abit unexpectedly and well.. HAd runny nose the whole day.. Now I'm wearing a pair of track pants at home.. Might as well.. Bought it more than a year ago but din ahd the chance to wear it also. haha..

Went out with Gab and Gf today.. Played Fifa Street at X-Sq.. haha.. Quite fun game when played together. Especially considering the game has no rules, except do fanciful stuffs and score goals.. Tackle till your opponent fly off to Mars also no foul. Wahaha.. Hmm.. Another sadistic game of sort that we're attracted to.. *shrug*

And after that.. went to eat dinner at the food court.. Haha.. My first time eating food court in a shopping mall in a very long while.. Had Nasi Lemak.. was glad that they had quite a huge serving as I was damn damn hungry. haha.. so yeah..

For now.. Back to bed I guess and get some rest.. G'night..

Wednesday.. Finally managed to clean my desk!. Whoo.. haha.. Nearly din make it to get myself to do it. But I did it. Now it's spick and speck. wahhaha..

Went for Photo Journ class at night. Wayne had a test "review".. but to me it's more of a "preview" cos he went through the theories again that will come out in the test next week. wahhaa.. And the other time were spent talking cock to us. Den me, Gereld, wendy and ancella went to Wala Wala to have a drink... Kaoz. Their Hoegarden cost 17bucks per glass.. Luckily I ordered a Corona. Haha. 11 bucks.. Still ex.. Considering other pubs sell it for like 8bucks.. The band there was quite interactive and cool.. Their harmony wasn't too bad. And the lead has got quite a nice voice. The "big" singer had a sense of humour too. Singing a re-make of "The Reason" into some dirty song. Haha.. All in all, quite a good experience as it's my first time in Wala, cept the lady keep forgeting to give us the change until like an hour later after several reminders.. -.- After tht, Gereld drove us home.. Thanks man! Haha. So nice of him to drive us home every week..

Photo journ. Hafta do my research within this hols man, if not I'm not gonna find much time to do it once school reopens. Wanted to go out to Chinatown to research today. but I nuah till it rained.. Kaoz.. -.- Maybe I'll go Jurong lib later to find books, en-route to meet Qi.. Yay!! She juz came home from camp! Wahaha..

Afternoon out at PS!

Tuesday.. Went out with Gab to scout for GF's present at PS.. Gab can walk pretty well and fast now.. I din have to slow down for him at all, so tht's good! We waited for a woman who eventually never appear by the name of J.o.a.n.n.a -.- Juz go home and nuah and nyeh and nyeh and nuah and never come find us.. Kaoz.. But it's ok.. Cos me and gab pigged ourselves out. Haha.. If Jo was there, she'd have complained like mad..

Let's see, we went BK for lunch.. I ordered a junior whopper while Gab indulged in the new Mushroom Swiss Whopper.. Shall try that soon. After walking for a while.. Aka.. From the basement, shop for present till we reach 5th level.. We went into Gelare.. And oredered Waffles! Whoo.. Nice waffle man.. and ICe cream.. Wahhaa.. Saw my NCC junior there.. I used to take him when I was a Platoon Sergeant.. Saw him with his gf.. Make me realise I'm getting old. Ha. Then slowly.. we made our way down.. Shopping here and there and finally getting GF's present! haha.. An Asics track suit.. Quite reasonably priced..

I saw the track suit and found it quite nice. So I went over to Gab and told him there's nice track suit there.. He din seem interested.. Den I said "60% off leh".. And his eyes immediately lighted up and rushed over to the suit with all the strength that his recovering lamed leg can bring him.. Haha.. We chose a nice colour and paid up immediately. And den.. We headed down to basement and had Wang Jiao Kaya ToasT! Wahaha.... Yum Yum.. Thereafter, saw tht it was still early and decided to go for some Xbox action at X-square.. Played Fifa Street. Not too bad a game if played together.. Haha..

What's the world coming to..

What's the world coming to?! Well.. There's quite a few high profiles cases happening in court this week.

Firstly, the shocking Huang Na murder case is now on trial. I think we all know quite a lot about that so I won't say much other than.. What the hell was tht Took thinking when he did whatever he did.. Not saying what about the sexual assault and eventual suffocation of the poor and helpless 8-yr-old... But what about his own wife and toddler son back in Penang?!?! Did he even spare a thought for them? Esp. his son??? Who'd actually lose his father forever just like that.. If Took is found guilty.. Sigh.. I wonder how'll his innocent son face up to the fact when he grows up..

Up Next, the saga between NKF and SPH.. Well, what more can be said when the NKF CEO actually earns a whopping S$600,000 yearly after bonus.. Like hello?!?! It's a charitable organisation!!! It just irks me to keep reading on about the case.. Seriously.. Tht CEO, Mr. Durai, actually wanted to install a GOLD tap in his private washroom in his office.. Which cost $900+ and he told the plumber it's not expensive, when the plumber sorta "confronted" him. I'll just say.. Grab a copy of The Straits Times, 12 July copy to read more..

But the sad fact is that.. A substantial amount of money that we, the public, donate to NKF generously everytime they called for donation, is gone to waste and un-needed lavish spending.. Grr! Irritating.. You know.. It hurts everytime to see those footage of patients on their charity show.. Seeing them suffering makes you feel like giving them another call to donate.. But I realise a year or two ago that NKF is really not that a charitable organisation after all. It's slowly becoming a corporate. Well, they still do help patients, subsidising their medical bills to a large extent. But why the need to employ senior staffs at astronomical figures.. Building a brand new NKF building which cost tens of millions.. It irks me.. It does! Garh... They can seriously help more people with those money! Like, why not subsidising 100% of those patient's medical bills.. Or even giving them some monthly allowance to pay their living expenses as many of them have no or limited income of the illness?! This whole issue is sickening.. And I swear... I won't donate to NKF in the near future, unless circumstances change and they REALLY NEED money again. For now, I'll be really content to donate to smaller and needier homes/organisation who are struggling to keep their accounts balanced. THOSE.. are really the organisations who need our money...

Woo! The mid-term break is here!! Haha.. Needa utilise it to go out shopping for games on my own man! Haha.. My Xbox is deprived... :D My table is in a mess too. Probably need to clean it also.. Haha. Actually MUST clean. jUst whether I'll find enough motivation to do it.. Hehe..

My EZ Link card now officially charges me at secondary school student rates. whahaha.. took a train from my hse to harbourfront at 50cents! First time ever man.. Haha.. Since the blood sucking NEL started 2 yrs back.. I've been throwing money at adult rate.. :p goodie! Hehe...

Well, my EZ Link problem has been solved.. But NP still sucks.. Why?

Cos my frens.. Havent really been cleared of the prob. Out of the 4 I asked.. Daryl's one not extended yet. Jl's one also got problem. Wad the hell.. And mine's got prob also. But I'm not complaining. Haha.. My one month's bus pass is now $27.50.. How fubar can an admin get.. *shake head*

Damn! I'm du lan.. The Ngee Ann Poly admin sucks! I swear!

You see, my EZ-Link card expired on 1 July.. Which means I cannot buy concession pass anymore, and I have to freaking pay adult fare! And.. I'm not alone! A few hundred of Mass Commers are also suffering the same bloody fate.. I'm not sure if people from other faculties are suffering the same fate as us.. How bloody irritating is that..

Gosh.. We are supposed to graduate in June 2006, NOT 2005! why do they freaking short change us one yr.. And it's the school admin's fault. Cos the day we enrolled (2yrs ago).. They gave TransitLink the wrong info! The data they provided is that we'll leave in July 2005.. wth.. Does it mean that I dun go school now it's ok.. Cos i "graduated" liao? So does it mean I no need pay school fees?! Diao... -.- Ok.. People make mistakes. So granted..

Wad makes me bloody annoyed is that I went to the Student Services to apply for an extension THREE weeks ago.. The lady at the counter told me it'd be done in a week. But last week, I went to ask her again. She told me that the admin is still sorting out and they have not provided TransitLink with the correct data yet! WTF!!!!!!!!!!! Like HELLO?!?!?! Wad are they getting paid for!! And it doesn't help that July 2005 is when those blood sucking SBS and SMRT raise their fare prices... I badly need a concession!! If not my transport bill will add up to like 100 or wad per month! Damn. who's going to pay for the difference that we are suffering?! I dun think the school will do it.. Though it's so damn rich. Maybe I should write an email to the Principal or wad...

Weekend!!

Another weekend! After the crazy shit on Thurs night and Fri morning trying to churn out 3 synopsis for Short Script writing.. A more relaxed weekend is here..

Fri: Well, supposed to meet with the gang for dinner but got cancelled cos nobody really wanna go, so I went home. Den my cute little nephew called me and my dad to meet him at Changi to play arcade at the Civil Service Club.. So we went down after dinner and I played with him for awhile before the arcade closed and I sped home to watch the finale of Jiu Wu Zhi Zun..

Sat: So, the meeting with the gang got carried forward to Sat.. Had wanted to go toa payoh for lunch and den sing.. But cold response again.. So we decided to go nuah at Ziling's place. Managed to ask Gab to go! Wahaha.. His 2nd adventure out after his op.. 1st one was last week with me driving.. I lugged my X Box to Ziling's place.. Wa.. Played on her 42" LCD TV.. Damn Shiok!! Haha.. Incredible experience.. So play and play.. Enjoyed ourselves. Laffing ourselves silly again at nothing and everything.. Haha.. Played countless times of Brazil vs Argentina, but I guess we need to improve ALOT before we can beat the computer with the difficulty set to 4-stars.
Anyway, after that, I went to meet Qi at Holland V to eat Crystal Jade La Mian. hehe.. Nice dinner.. Was quite full already.. Den headed to Clementi. Wanted to watch a movie.. But the timings weren't right.. So watching on Mon instead and probably Initial D.. My Gawd! Im gonna watch a Chou's movie?!??!!

Sun: Ma-Shit-na! (term for the module Massina as my poly mates now call it).. Did the project in school.. Spend the whole afternoon reading books and sources for quotes while the others were typing themselves silly on the com. eventually manage to finish most of the work and most of us left at 530.. Including me! Den went to Changi for family dinner.. The food was quite nice, at a coffee shop.. Ate quite alot despite eating pizza at 4+. Well, pizza was lunch anyway, so din matter.. Hehe.. Den after that, went to the Civil Service Club again to play arcade with my cute little nephew again.. Wa.. I'm beggining to wonder if he's addicted to arcade games.. It's a little too young leh.. He's turning 6 in 2 weeks' time.. Hmm.. How ah.. :S

Busy shit..

Wa.. Busy trying to crank my head to work and give me ideas to write 3 different sypnosis.. There's a 2 week break coming up soon! Yay!!

Photo Journ is fun. Developing films and photos.. Things that not every one will see and do.. Fun! =D
