Decorated the house just now, haha.. Actually not that much diff cos since dunno when, we dun really take down new yr decorations till it's time to clean up the house before another new yr comes by. Heh.. But this yr's decorations are cheap and good I muz say..
Anyway, went back to PCPS today. Gathered that I'd be in NS the next time any festivities come by, and since I was free after a meeting, I should just pop in and say hi to the many teachers!! Enjoyed my visit back there, cept for meeting a damn freaking annonying dumbass lady who is sadly, a teacher. I wonder wad her students will grow up to be if they all listen to her. sian.. Bah!! Full in Chinatown
Friday! Weekend again! Heh.. Started the day going to Punggol to survey the site for project which only 3 pple turned up. Pui cao nua.. And I really din have to go cos I've seen it already, but I went anyway thinking sth fruitful might come out of it. But no. Oh well.. Went to the gym thereafter. Damn high. Ran 2.4km on the treadmill in 11:30.. Wohooooo!!! I juz need to be able to do more pullups now.. Gogogo!!Went to Chinatown at night. The night was really nothing but juz keep eating and eating and eating. To Jo: Yeah, we're back at wad we do best, thanks and no thanks to Gab. Hehe.. Ok, the eating spree started at the newly renovated People's Park Centre. ZL, Gab and I had Fried carrot cake (fried with hay bee hiam), san loe hor fun and frog porridge. So much for saying wanna eat cheap cheap at hawker, I think the bill came to more than $20 for 3 pple.. -.- We had just left the hawker when Kunlei came. He was hungry and wanted to go to the hawker to eat. But Gab very obviously wanna go somewhere else to gorge himself and kept telling KL tht there's alot of pple in the hawker and the food so-so only. Ok, so we went on food hunt.. Ended up at a dimsum eatery. I wanted to order ice water. Guess wad.. The conversation with the waitress went like this (translated from CL to EL)..Me: Miss, can I have a glass of plain water? She: Eh, plain water muz pay one..Me (expecting a max 20-30cents charge): How much ah?She: You want warm or cold one?Me: Eh, price still got difference ah?She: Yah, warm one is 50 cents. Cold one is $1.20..Me (peng4): ....................She (laughing): You still want?Me: Haha, no thanks. I drink my saliva.WTF.. They charge $1.20 for freaking cold plain water?!?!?! I swear that even Fullerton wun charge so much. Oh, I thik Fullerton probably give it free?! And worst of all, the plain water most probably is tap water.. -.-" Legal daylight robbery.. Pui cao Nua. And bad service.. Forget orders and never tell us what's out of stock, make us wait for nothing.. PUI!So ate a lot of dim sum and paid another $27 before we entered the CNY market.. Whee!! Juz walked around see see talk cock.. Commented on things we see.. KL and I saw a store selling "Good Luck candy" and wanted to go and buy, for obvious reasons. haha. Den we see damn ex, so KL asked the lady if we can sample. Haha.. Of cos she said yes, we took one each, it was freaking "pai jia" (not nice to eat).. And we din buy any of cos..So we walk walk walk, came to the food street and went for dessert and the sesame starch that ZL was buging me all night to bring her to eat. Haha. She muz be damn disappointed with sesame starch now. haha.. And anyway, we only saw the speciality shop for dessert after eating our fill.. So, next time ya ZL? heh.. And gab nearly wanna eat at tht speciality shop when we had left the previous store for less than 5 min. -.-"Anyway, Gab still found some space in his stomach for Ice Kacang later on. It was, pui cao nua pai jia.. Not enough syrup coupled with coarse ice and to top it off, it cost a whopping $2!! wa lao. For nothing at all pay $2.. Really a rip-off..Hmm, nice night out nonetheless. A night full of laughter and fun.. And ZL lost her CNY market visiting virginity tonight. haha.. Time to slp. Already 3am.. Heh..
Huff and puff
Wa. Went for a jog juz now. Damn cui.. Huff..... Shall jog more and start going to gym now that I've recovered from my sinus...Long time never play xbox... Shall play it soon.. hehe.. This is a very random entry.. Life isn't fulfilling and complete somehow...
Sad dream
Hmm.. Had a couple of sad dream the past week.. I dreamt of my grandmoms.. Think the first one was about my maternal grandmum juz passed away but my paternal grandmum was still alive (wad the?!)**. Dun remember much about that one.. The second one was on the morning of Tue.. Remembered I was telling my maternal grandmum that my paternal grandmum just passed away (and I'm like 20 in the dream?!?!) and I cried like shit in the dream. And I also woke up soon after, finding tears on my face..Er.. Dunno how come like that.. It's really nice to dream of them, however sad it might be.. Miss them. And I particularly miss my maternal grandmum's voice. I can still remember how she sounded whenever she came to my place.. As she walks down the staircase she'd be caling me and my sis' names.. And the time when she stayed at my place after her op really proved to be the best times I spent with her.. How I wish it was for longer and she didn't move back after she sorta recovered.. How time flies, it's been 7 yrs since I last saw her. One of the biggest regret in my life ever, and it'll be with me all my life, is that I wasn't there to "feed" her the last time before they closed the casket. Why?! Cos my hair was rather long then and the elders said if I didn't cut then, I'd have to wait for the first 49 days to pass, so I went to cut.. Well, and it'll be my biggest regret cos in the end, I had another hair cut within that 49 days cos now they say it doesn't matter..Coincidentally, my sis brought up memories on the period when my paternal grandmum was ill juz now.. I hadn't told her about my dream. Think she'll read it here.. Sometimes, I can't help but wonder how much time I have left with my uncle and aunts.. Some of them are fast approaching 65.. While some are touching 60 this yr..** For those who are wondering why I "wad the?!".. It's cos my paternal grandmum passed away 7 yrs before my maternal grandmum did.
Dickhead
This entry is dedicated, to curse and swear the head off the dickhead who is so very much a dickhead and a pussy too, by the way.To make a long story short. Well, last month when I go Malaysia, was at the BKE flyover linking to the Customs. When I sway sway kiss a car in front of me. Not even an affectionate kiss. Like dry skin of the lip touching the dry skin of the other. Yah.. At most left a few scratches on his car, at the very most, that is.. If not, probably even no damage.Well, at that moment. That guy (now still a guy) got off his car took a look at his car and me, din ask me to come down cos he was probably happy that no damage was done. And off we went on our trip respectively. Case closed. And so I thought.Last week, my dad got a call from our insurer and said got a claim filed against us. And it was that pussy driver of a Subaru, who can't drive for nuts I swear. Cos he keep getting cut by people on a congested road. Bway gan, seriously bway gan.. Anyway, a claim was filed. So I thought, ok I scratched his bumper. Claim fair and square. But today, my dad found out that that Subaru dickhead has changed his bumper, against the advice of the insurers, with his freaking Subaru agent. Cost 900+?!?! WTF.. Pay him $900+ for a few scratches?! KNN.. Anyway, our insurers assessed and willing to pay him only $600. Like wtf.. NBCB.. Gargh..He took advantage of the situation. Changed a new bumper. I got nothing more to say. But may I grant u some New Yr wishes. I hope 2 of ur tyres get punctured simultaneously, leaving u freaking stranded on a busy PIE on a busy weekday evening inhale as much CO as u can to help clean up the air. And probably there was a freaking monsoon downpour that refuses to go away and lightning at the same time that you will be fearing for your dicky head that you dare not get out of the car cos you are a pussy.. Better still, your gf who is beside you in the car decides that you are too much of a pussy and gets out of the car and hails a taxi and never contact you again! Whoo.. And oh, may I add that your bumper drop off.Disclaimer: The above entry is purely written out of anger. And the author may not mean what he said. Any coincidental happenings in the future is pure, coincidence and probably luck. The author will make sure he bet big on 4D thereafter.
PES B
Yesh. My medical is over and I've been given PES B, if nothing goes wrong with my blood test.. Hmm, just as i expected cos had hernia operation when I was 2. Dunno if there were other factors or not that made me not suitable for PES A.Well, my shoulder has been aching the whole night, as if to protest that I din tell the medical officer about the condition this morning.. WTH.. This morning you were still doing fine!! Why bother me now... And I seriously scared later cos of this shoulder I kenna PES C den sian alot of half liao.. Also manage to shed 2 kg since I last weigh myself last week. Haha.. Heng never dio obese company. My BMI is 26.1.. Slight overweight. So I shall still exercise regularly to lighten the burden of my two arms when doing the damn pull up.. Heh..Anyway, had chicken rice for lunch today. been craving for it a few days. haha.. But not that nice I find.. Hmm.. Probably cos I was eating it in a rush ba.. Nose been raining the whole day.. The sore throat is subsiding, which is good.. But my nose is getting abrasions from all the tissues I stuff up the nostril.. Gargh.. Stupid sinus.. =(
Sick..
Damn. Falling sick. My sinus acting up again.. Runny nose and a very sore "throat" (it's behind the nose there, dunno wad that part is called.. But confirm it's sinus..) Damn.. Can't go and run tonight... Haha.. Been running the past 3 nights. And having muesli bar for lunch ytd and today. Damn. I'm so gonna eat my fill tml.. Gargh!! Heh..It's another 6 weeks before I end my poly life. How time flies... It doesn't feel that long until I look back and think that.. Damn! It's been 4 full years since I graduated from sec school.. It really din feel that long..Now.. Where is my health booklet.. cant find it and I need it for tml's medical screening.. =S
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year everybody!! Well, 2006 is here! Hey, half the decade is gone! Just like that!! Hmm, realise that as you get older, the phrase of "time really flies" gets more real to you..Well, the new year is here already but I haven't got to a resolution. Well, I think it's better to take things as they come.. Had wanted to resolve exercising regularly, but I think not necessary cos I'd be in NS anyway, resolve or not, have to exercise still.. Heh..Hmm, here's a list of what proves to me that "time flies", I know it when:1. My dear nephew is getting himself ready for his first day in primary school..2. Thinking that in about 100 days, I'll be officially an adult.. 9 years to 30! =S3. Friends are leaving, albeit temporarily, to pursue their dreams.4. Toa Payoh is no longer like the one when I stepped foot on everyday.5. Cousins are now moms and dads. The list can probably continue.. But I'd like to highlight and explain pt 4 on Toa Payoh.. Well, went to my aunt's place today.. Sorta a "house warming".. She moved into one of the 40-storeys flat beside the central.. Gazing out of her 29th storey unit.. I could see the sky scrapers at Shenton Way. Truly breathtaking view.. I set my sight closer and looked at Toa Payoh. Not that many old flats are left.. Remember the 20-odd storey flat right beside the interchange where alot of ah peks play chess at the void deck?? I remember thinking that that block was freaking tall everytime I walked past it, when I was younger. But it was well dwarfed by all the flats around it now.. Another couple of 40-storey blocks coming up at the plot where Singapore's longest HDB block used to stand.. I dunno why, I feel abit of sadness seeing these developments.. I like those old blocks.. Are they that old that it's unsafe to live in them anymore? But thinking about how people like my aunt can live more comfortably in a new environment, there was some consolation..I was wondering how the skyline of Singapore would change in 20 years' time.. Seriously.. Every new block built are at least 30-storeys tall.. Probably except the eastern part where planes fly, they are built to be around 20-storeys, tall enough, no?? Would I still be able to see Shenton Way from my aunt's block 10, 15 years later? Or would it be well blocked by other 40 or 50-storey flats, smacked right in front of hers?! I wonder..Maybe HDB blocks would be built 100-storeys tall when my time's gonna be up 50 years later.. It'd be funny to think about this.. An owner of a 40th storey unit (at say, Ang Mo Kio) now can jump for joy about his/her breath-taking balcony view right to Shenton Way.. 20 yrs later, a resident who just moved into Ang Mo Kio's new 40th storey unit might be able to glaze as far as Bishan? Or maybe, his/her neighbour's bedroom.. New HDB flats are getting nearer and nearer, don't you think so?! Probably magnets are embedded in the cements.. I wonder..Nonetheless, wishing all a happy 2006 and have a great year ahead full of joy and good health.. Cheers!
