Can you believe it?? I went on a book hunt today!! Whao!! Somebody's gonna strike lottery man.. Heh.. Ok, not like I went for some philosophical book or some fiction storybook.. If you know of the book, or seen my MSN nick, you probably can guess what it is le.. Yep.. Giggs' autobiography!

Well, went to Peninsula to get my undeveloped roll of film taken for last sem's photo journ, develop.. Wanna see how my shots turn out though it's no longer needed for the module.. Den decided to go find my book! Went to MPH in Raffles City.. Saw they had 20% off. Damn excited. After searching high and low for it, had to ask a staff for help. He went to the shelves I went to, took awhile to search, but to no avail. And he told me out of stock.. Hmm, I'd have expected him to search on the com or sth.. *shrug* Seeing that MPH has got 20% off, I wanted to find another MPH store. Remembered they have one in City Link so headed straight there. Searched for awhile... Ta-da!! I saw the book. So darn excited and was ready to go pay liao.. But when I took the book out.. It was like giam chai.. you know, the salted pickles and the fermented veges?! Damn. No way I'm going to pay 32 bucks for a giam chai version. Found out that it was the last copy and the title wasn't on discount too. Sian. Headed home empty handed.. =(

Went for a jog after coming home.. First time jogging in a stadium for a long long time.. Great workout. BUt horrors of horrorrsss, found out that my pull-up still cannot make it!! Intensive gym sessions beckons after the medical check-up!! GRR!!

Had dinner buffet at a hotel in Marine Parade. Nice food.. Ate abit too much, considering the medical is now less than a week away.. =S Nvm, I plan to jog or swim daily.. And I shall not gorge anymore until Thursday!! Gogogo!!

Turn of the Year

Hmm, the New Year is fast approaching! Been inspired by Straits Times.. Actually thinking of a New yr resolution. Haha.. Tht's funny, don't know if I'll be able to think of one though.

Tml will be the 27th anniversary for my parents. Undecided as to where to have our dinner tml. Hmm..

The CNY is fast approaching too! You can already see Ch8 showing new yr songs MTV, abalone ads etc are all signs of the impending festival! Yay!! 4 more weeks before it's here!! Can't wait for it man!! =D

Gonna start watching a new VCD series soon. Heh.. I seriously wonder when my NAPFA will be.. No news from the school yet.. *shrug*

Feel like sleeping badly... Went to school today for a rehearsal for a shoot next week.. Shaofern, one of the leads did not turn up.. Wth.. Gargh.. Had wanted to post the photos online juz now, like finally I found the energy to do so. But I can't find the damn camera... =(

Only a week plus away from the NS medical check-up. Contemplating going on a healthy diet for a week to shed the additional one or two kilos that might juz condemn me to obese company. Like wtf. I'm obese?! I'll cry if I have to run with pple who can't run everyday.. Nonetheless, I still feel better and fitter than months ago now. Had wanted to go swim but rained.. Wth.. Think I've to go jogging again later. =S

Haven't found the energy to upload the photos as promised, it's all still in the memory card rather than the hard disk. -.- Anyway, been a good festive period so far. Met my NYJC frens on Friday.. Huiling, Boon Liang, Keng Ann and Jia Ye.. Been a long time since I've seen them. In some cases, it's been as long as since I left NY. Means a good three years! Really nice to see them all again. Went to Party World to sing our hearts out, and probably throat.. And have prata supper at Upp Serangoon. A great farewell for Huiling.. Bon Voyage, ms wols... Lol..

Xmas eve.. Din really have the festive mood, right till when the clock struck 12am, 25 Dec. Was out with Gab, Ziling and KY. All others MIA. Ok la, all had their reasons.. I thank KC, JJ and KL for their swift and decisive negative response that let us know not to count them in our plans. KY nyeh here and there, but eventually turned up so forgiven.. And Mr GF, stop nyeh-ing here and there and keep sending sms asking where we are when you aren't gonna turn up. And never ever push the blame on me of NOT telling you what time we are going to leave, as your reason for not turning up. Why can't you be more straightforward?!?! Juz say "No, I'm not free, you guys go ahead." Would be fine enough, no? I was really patient and nice in replying your sms-es thinking you'd join us later as you said. When Gab was already asking me to ignore your sms-es. I really don't need you to come finger pointing at me as your reason for not turning up eventually.

I'm back! Heh.. It's been fun.. And the food was good.. Especially in Penang. Bought some clothings.. Very tired now man.. Drove the whole day. The whole 6-day trip has made our car worked 1,800km. Whoa..

School's ending..

Whao.. It's been 7 weeks since the sem started, and we're due for a hols again! Haha.. But before all that, I've got a website to rush tonight.. Gargh.. Thanks to my own procrastination.. -.-" This morning actually had a headache. Probably from the thoughts of going to have to rush the website.. Bah..

Been quite disciplined in terms of exercising.. Dropped my gym regime for more cardio.. Swam twice this week already. Due for a jog b4 I leave for Malaysia man.. Probably tomorrow night, if I can find the energy after completing the website and packing..

Gonna drive up to Msia this Sat, with family (minus Sis) and uncle's family.. Going to Ipoh, Penang and Genting. Will be back next Thu. Though I have the option of taking a bus back one or two days earlier, if I have things to do.. Which I do have, Acting & Directing and Advertising got things to do... But pple are going away for hols at other time too.. So, maybe I shouldn't sacrifice myself and cut short my own hols right? Hmm.. Got shitload to pack I guess... Clothes, CD to listen to... It's good that there's a getaway planned.. Im really looking forward to the long drive up the North South Highway..

Lawrence vs Daryl

Had a quiz for IS tourism, done in less than 5 mins. Wth, and left with 1.5hrs to spare before the next lesson. So off to library to snooze away..

Got up in time for the next lesson at 10.. Heh.. The module - World Issues, A S'pore Perspective. The lecturer, Lawrence, is a funny guy, who happens to support Man U and idolise Giggs like I do. Heh.. Ok, so Lawrence came to class, and started taking our attendance.

As he's going down the list, he came to Daryl.

Lawrence: Daryl..
Daryl: Ya, here.
Lawrence: Oh Daryl! Guys, I've to tell you all a story about Daryl..
Daryl: (Under his breath) Shit.
Lawrence: You all know, I saw this guy earlier and when he saw me, he had this "I want to go home, why do I have to bum into you" written all over his face.. Right, Daryl?!
Daryl: (Laughing) No..
Lawrence: Don't bluff me...
Daryl: No, really, no.. (Still laughing uncontrollably)

At this point, I was laughing damn loudly, near hysterical. Cos before lesson started, Daryl told me he had indeed wanted to go home and sleep had he not seen our lecturer. Yeah.. Lawrence saw it through. Lol.. And so, cos of my hysterical laughter, Lawrence concluded,"Don't bluff me la, see Yi-Long laughing so happily down there I know it's true." Haha.. Quite rightly so, Lawrence. Lawrence also invited Daryl to go if he really wanted to.. (He was half serious and not angry at all) Haha.. Cool dude man, that Lawrence..

Xmas Wishlist..

I've only one thing on my Xmas wishlist...

Give me cable tv at home, with sports channel!! That's all I'm asking for.. *praY*

On the Xmas subject, Dad was saying we should buy a turkey to celebrate Xmas. Sis agreed we should have a feast or sth like tht. But mom quipped, "You all Christians meh? Celebrate what Xmas?!".. wa liew.. Not christian cannot celebrate the holiday is it? Not saying we gonna church or wad ma!!! And the best part is, she doesn't give in.. Whenever we talk about the mini Xmas party, she'll give skeptical comments. It's starting to make sense to me why she thinks the way she does on other issues, seriously.. Erm mom, does it mean tht I'm not Christian den I cannot make Xmas wish?! =S

Going to Malaysia next week with family. Driving up.. Hmm.. Looking forward to it only cos of the driving part I guess. Seriously, I really love driving... As of now, other than the driving part, I'd really rather stay home and rot.. Sis' in Nepal... She haven contact us since leaving... Hope all is well. *pray again*

Mourning...

Sorta in mourning. Man U got knocked out of the Champions League last night. Wth.. Coupled with the lack of sleep, to catch them in action, today is a somewhat solemn day... Very sian.. Think I've watched the last Man U game live in the comfort of my own living room, at least for the next 2.5 yrs.. Bastards, they really should have qualified.

After Med Law and lunch, Daryl and I were bored and had to kill some time, so went to the lib and loaned out The Simpsons to watch. There was a special part, about the producers of The Simpsons having a war of words with George W. Bush's mom 15 yrs ago. Had a good laugh...

In the midst of watching, Daryl took out chewing gum and offered me one. Juz then, the librarian came. Wa lan... Out of nowhere juz pop up behind us... Sarcastically, point to the "No eating and drinking" sign on the wall and ask Daryl he never see ah? Can see Daryl quite du lan, as usual.. But he juz say sorry, in a very bei gam wan way.. But the librarian was not done.. She continued, "Wa, chewing gum some more.. Your teeth very hard huh." I was like what the fuck is wrong with her la... I so wanted to say "Hey, you naive, outdated obasang.. Do you know that chewing gum has its benefits?!" But I just stayed quiet as she finally satisfied her freaking urge to gan3 us, and moved on to gan3 other pple in the viewing area. _l_ to you, freaking obasang!!!

A night of booze..

Ok, so yesterday was Ziling's end of exams. And she pulled us out for a night of drinking with her.. She only wanted those pubs, bars. Not even a cappucino at Starbucks would have satisfied her.. Yeah.. She was out to contribute to the economy, and we were dragged into it as well.. Mr Finance Minister must be so happy and proud of ZL..

ZL had wanted to go to Balcony Bar which is right outside Heeren.. But we checked it out: Apart from being crowded, it was not air-conditioned. *cui* No way I'm going there man, so we headed to Acid Bar instead. Nyeh here and there abit, cos no space that's big enough for us except for the sofa seats, which the manager refused to give us unless we ordered 3 jugs of drinks or opened a bottle.. Which was a bit of a dillemma for us, cos we were wondering if we can finish.. The malay waitress was friendly and fun.. She 'secretly' gave us 2 more mixers to go with our vodka, and offered us finger food at staff price too.. Heh..

Initially, the waitress said the vodka bottle would have like lasted us for the night.. But one hour plus after we went in, the bottle was 3/4 empty.. She came over and said,"Eh, you all drink fast or the bottle break?!" Haha, this was funny.. She also had a few funny exchanges with us.. She asked KC not to drink too much, if not later kenna bully. Den KC said "Nvm la, you protect me, you bring me back lor.." Waitress gave a stun look and said, "You want to come my house or hotel?!" We laughed and KC gamely said, "Eh, your house la.." Waitress looked around and said softly, "You wanna come my house can! But I muz go market first, buy brinjaw and cucumber first." The guys and Veron all burst out laughing.. But KC and ZL down there cannot get the joke. -.-""""" (we were saying they act innocent one, especially KC.. hehe)

ZL had a flaming drink also, treated by a GUY fren from her JC.. Took the whole process on my mobile. Who want to see can ask me next time.. Suspiciously, when we reached there, ZL was the only female with her JC grp. We were discussing like, how the guys muz be like only ask her, never ask other girls. And dat ZL muz be bluffing us when she said nobody from her JC wooed her b4. Haha..

Eh, left Acid Bar at like 2am. The gals and gab went home, while GF, Kl and me caught some football action at the Kopitiam opp. SMU.. Before heading home on the first NEL train. YAWN..

Lastly, my sis needs much more time before she can drive without my dad around. Quite scary at times to sit in the car driven by her. -.-"" I'm ALIVE! =D

Touching..

Was watching the SEA Games telecast on tv just now.. Today's headlines has got to be swimming and gymnastics. Lionel Lee won the 400m freestyle after a heart-stopping neck-to-neck race with a Thai swimmer. Beating his opponent to the wall in 0.03 seconds.. Joscelin Yeo beat a SEA Games record in one of her pet events - 100m butterfly.. She is the first woman in SEA to finish the course in under a minute. Amazing!

But my personal special praise has to be reserved for Nicole Tay. A 14-yr-old gymnast, who showed strong character despite her young age. She was touted to win the balance beam event. But alas, seconds after mounting the beam, in executing one of her first stunts, she fell off the beam and hit her back. She turned towards the beam, grimaces for a while and duly mounted the beam again. She continued her routine but it was only 10 seconds later that she lost her footing and fell off the beam yet again. But she refuses to give up, though everyone (including her) knows that her gold medal hopes have perished. She composed herself and mounted the beam again.. She continued from where she left off.. But luck wasn't on her side, she fell off yet again.. Yes, 3 times unlucky. Wth right.. This time, she broke up in tears.. It was just unbearable.. Yes, she cried. But in under 3 seconds.. She held back her tears and mounted the beam once again!! She duly completed her routine this time round before walking off the arena and breaks down in the arms of her coach.. What a touching sight.. She was really brave to take it all in her stride and complete what she had to do..

More proof of her resilient character is when she recovered from the earlier setback to clinch gold in the exercise floor event. It is truly remarkable and a day to remember for Singapore sports..
