Outfield at Lim Chu Kang..

Went outfield from Wednesday till Friday. It was just 1.5 days in reality, but nevertheless, still sian.. And they never fail to do last minute things on us. Screwed up.

Changed my duty from the supposed Thursday to Monday, so that I could send Jo off on Thursday night. Now, it seems pre-destined that it's not meant to be. haha.. Well, hope Jo can do well in her last year there.. The next time you're back, I'll be free!!! Haha. I'd consider about the 'invitation' to visit. Maybe if I strike the lottery or what, then it'll be a sure-go! =p Mel came and went too. Wanted to meet with her, but she seems as busy as ever and made me wait till 1+am on Friday night, when I just came back from outfield. No way I was gonna make it to her place in one piece. Hehe...

Anyway, outfield was kind of, fun. But tiring on my soldiers. A particular mission was tasked to my section to search for a rebroadcast station. I led them super tactically. Came from the back of the hill and made a zig-zag combing up and across the knoll. Quite fun, but shag also. Took nearly 2 hours before we found the target. Satisfying in the end. =)

A promised trip into the cemetery didn't materialise.. I was somehow hoping I'd be tasked to go there and stay for a couple of hours or longer. Adds to my Army story collection. Hehe. But plans were changed and I ended up sleeping in the tonner, while my guys were sweating it out on a fast march, thanks to my ankle. Hehe..

Brisbane beckons.. I wonder if I'm gonna pack in time. =p

The buggers who bugs me everyday in camp now..

Same old story..

Sian. Sprained my ankle again. Just that this time is not as bad as the last time..

Same old story. I sprained the same ankle, probably same ligament, doing the same thing: That's SOC, and at the low ramp again. Well, just that this time I could run back to the end point and not feel the pain. But once I stopped, the pain grew. And I've been limping since. Sian.

The only good thing out of this is that I can don't go to live firing and type this entry on a rainy Sunday morning.

Don't know if this time spraining will set back the recovery using physio by how much. hope it's not too bad..

For the week..

Ok, so block leave has come and almost gone, it's Friday afternoon and the sky is grey. Had wanted to go swim for the whole of the week but didn't have time when the sun was out, and when I have time, it's this kind of weather.. -.-"

Well, the week has seen me catching up with friends not seen in a while. To kick off the week, sent Shuling off to Chicago at the airport. Woke up in the wee hours to go man! Boss, appreciate it? Heh. Oliver went to the airport in our unit's admin tee. Not very glamourous. Haha. Poor lad had to do live firing before he could book out at 2.30 am and head straight to airport. Haha.. Send offs are always emotional, to the person flying off especially. Shuling's already small eyes were reduced to a straight line after Oliver "abducted" her for 10mins and sweet-talked her, into crying I guess. Wahaha.. Evil. =x

Went for seafood with parents and Mr. & Mrs. Kwek at Telok Sengat. And also bak kut teh at Kota Tinggi. Eh, seriously, I wanna take my friends to these places and eat man. It's really fantastic and cheap!

Caught "881" with GF on Tuesday. It's quite a nice show. Qi Yuwu didn't need to talk a word in the show. Just keep playing with his chicken, and got to smooch the female lead. Hahaha. How shiok. But the fat lady Liu Lingling's acting was good. So unlike her, given her not-so-class image portrayed by her Gao Xiao Xing Dong performances. Heh.. But be warned if you don't understand Hokkien, the shows may not be as enjoyable!

Met up with ZJ on Wed to do some catching up. Been a long time since I last met her. But it's always good to catch up with your old mates and learn how their doing. So I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Went to see my nephew afterwards, who's slowly getting naughty. He tries to speak in a language that nobody understands. The most funny part is after he "gaa-gaa-gaa" he'll look at you, as if waiting for an answer. Hehe..

Thursday, caught up with the poly gang. Well, it might not have seem that long, but I haven't seen them for half a year already! Time do fly, in terms of these enjoyable things. But not really for life in Army. =p Budd, you better go change ur flight!!!!!!!!!!!!! *this is a threat* Wahahha..

Back to Bedok

It's been a couple of weeks since I last blogged and I'm going to be on a week-long leave. Heh.. It's a welcomed break. But I'm left to worry if I'll have enough during December to clear, cos I'm going away to Aussie in Oct. Anyway, Aussie trip promises to be fun, and I really hope Buddy can join!!

Erm, course at Nee Soon camp has ended and it's back to Bedok Camp. Hell. And as if we needed a reminder, the first thing happened was sorta a bad news and just proves to us how hellish it is back in my unit. As I said, we're supposed to be on block leave this week so when we reached Bedok Camp on Friday evening.. We prepared to book out immediately and go enjoy our week away from anything Army. The stage was set, my platoon fall in in their civilian attire, all raring to go, when my PC announced that there was to be Remedial Training for those who failed SOC, basically my whole platoon didn't make it. So it meant they had to book in that particular night again! You could see the mood changed immediately.. Even if I needn't go back, I still felt the pain and anguish, for my men.. Tried to ask my PC to ask for special 'discount' from OC, that our platoon be excused. But to no avail. It was until 5 or 10 minutes later when I think even my PC couldn't take the mood that he decided to ask the Conducting Officer. -.-" Luckily, he allowed my platoon to skip RT the next day! Really a relief. But by then, one guy had already cried (haha, this was funny) and left all others in a bad mood to enjoy the Friday night. Sigh.

Can feel the joy of leading my men. They're really quite clueless at times that you feel like slapping them but they're clueless in the innocent way. So u feel like laughing when they ask u some questions. hehe.. Anyway, felt happy quite happy that day over an incident. One of my guys sorta have relationship problems. The day before while waiting for exercise to commence, PC and I were talking cock to him when he revealed that he was having this problem la.. His gf was not answering his call and basically just MIA, and most probably with another guy. Like how sad la. So the next day, as we were working on some practical stuffs, this guy just said, "Eh Sergeant, she called me last night leh..". Well, the rest of the conversation is irrelavent here. But I felt joy that he was going to share something with me. Really.. This is cool.. Heh..
