If you have noticed, I've put up new links to some sites I think are worth mentioning and visiting. So take some time off and visit those sites yeah? =) And the "Pundit In Me @ Work" is the pundit blog that I started. Not too bad as I hit all my predictions on my debut as a pundit. Lol..

Anyway, today first day in school. 8am lesson. Crap.. Damn tired can.. Tried turning in at 1.30am. But couldn't really slp till like 2 plus? And when I just fell asleep.. Got woken up by the call of nature. Sia la.. 3 am go toilet.. Went back to slp after that.. The alarm rang at 6+.... Had problems waking me up man.. Kao.. First day is always tough I guess.. Dragged myself out of bed with much difficulty.. And took a bus to school. Slp on the bus as usual.. Heh..

Was really half awake by the time lesson ended at noon.. Came home and just plonked on the floor outside my bedroom, with the wind coming in from the door, and slept for a good hour and a half.. My sis came home while I was sleeping and she decided to do the same, outside her bedroom. Lol.. After that, trudged to the gym to get my derailing gym programme back on track.. Was wonderful that I ran 2.4km on the treadmill at a fast speed throughout.. About 10 seconds off what would have been enough for silver. Keep it up!! Heh.. But then again, running in the gym is so different from running outside. But nonetheless, I'm happy with tht.. GoGoGo!!! =)

Ok, I'm bored.. School's starting tml.. Yawn.. Why can't they give us additional week of hols?? When 2 of the 5 days are public holidays next week. And also it means 2 of the other 3 days are like half-days?!?! Dumb..

Alot of people are guessing it to be a draw.. But I'd say Newcastle have a good chance since Owen is returning.. With odds at 2.00, it's worth a try.. If you have a little bit of money to flutter, bet on Newcastle win or Draw-Newcastle in the HT-FT combo. Keyword here: Bet small. This 2 teams are really inconsistent so far this season.

Ambition..

Something that I've wanted to post for a long time.. Is about my ambition.. Yes, the kindergarten version of "What do you want to be next time when you grow up?" Hmm, actually right now, I'm more concerned about my next job, that's the NS..

Well, 'concerned' might not be the word to use, but I'm a bit torn in between two options. Not that you can choose outright what vocation you wanna go to but let me just imagine I have the power to choose, which one should I be in?

The two options are namely, the Police and Army.

Police.. Believe it or not, I had wanted to be a police when I was a kid.. Probably affected by those glamourous police and CIDs in dramas that uphold justice and nab baddies.. Haha.. SLowly, the passion died down.. And it became the latter, Army..

Well, it's quite obvious why the Army. My dad spent half of his life, actually now it's still MORE than half of his life in the Army. The blood runs in me.. When I was a kiddo, he used to bring me to his camp when he works on Saturdays.. There used to be a period when he brought me to work cos there was no one to look after me during the holidays after my granny had passed away some 14 yrs ago. Yeah, and all his first-hand stories of Army life is so real and sometimes exciting.. Seriously, no other job can probably give you those kind of experience.. However, one fact is that Singapore has evolved alot. My dad can tell us stories about him trekking ACROSS Singapore.. Bishan being a mass cemetry, Hougang a swamp and fishing village etc etc. Now, I can only imagine soldiers with their big backpack 'track-ing' across Singapore, in a MRT train. Haha.. And the only jungles in Singapore are probably in Tekong, those off-shore islands and the western gazzetted areas..

And oh, not forgetting the 6 good yrs I spent in NCC..

So now.. Wad's bothering me? Hmm, well.. The thought of being able to enlist in Police is somewhat enticing.. At least, what you learn in the Academy can be put to actual use in dealing with the numerous circumstances when you are on duty. They are real situations.. Not exercises, not simulation. Sidenote: What's more?! WHo else can carry a gun within sight of everyone walking in shopping centre without getting arrested. Haha.. Ok, that's a little besides the point.. But, if I am gonna be in the Police, please let me be a normal CPL/SGT.. And go on patrols. I dun wanna be an Inspector and sit in office kind. Tolong Tolong..

As for Army, it's no less enticing.. If I enlist in Army, will aim to become an officer, and keep a career option open. Yes, I wun mind signing on for the SAF if the circumstances is right.. And of course, that is if I still have interest in a career in the Army when I come to that point..

So... Wad would it be?! I dunno... I just hope that I do something meaningful in NS and not waste my 2 years slacking away. Though some slacking will be nice.. But I hope to gain some solid experience out of it.. *Pray*

Dream..

Slept quite early last night.. 1.30am and I was already in bed.. Woke up at 10.30 today feeling I've slept more than enough. That's a good thing that I'm sleeping early.. Cos school is starting in less than a week..

Had some dreams last night.. Dreamt that Mel and Jo were back for hols.. Well, Mel had her hols and came back expectedly but Jo also flew back, at the expense of $1k odd. Haha.. Remember asking her that, cos she flew back supposedly for a few days only... Ya, so remember meeting them at the airport.. Den.. Apparently went a plot of land near my house, where there was a stage set up and there was some opera and things like that. And GF was enjoying himself there with the others when I arrived.. -.- That's all I can remember now.. But it really is a good dream.. To have those two migrated (temporarily) earthlings back on home soil and spending time together..

I wonder when will be the next time we can all be back in Singapore.. If talking about long term basis, it might be 4-5 yrs from now.. For when the two earthlings are back, it might be time for me to migrate temporarily.. And who knows.. The guys in NS now whom have got their places in local Unis might do a 'Operation Joanna' and decide to migrate temporarily also.. Haha..

Boring Weekend..

Yawn.. A very boring weekend.. My whole family actually stayed at home most of the time.. -.-

Weather is damn cool today. Rained the whole day.. It's been awhile.. Anyway.. Had a very healthy day in the sense tht my family stuffed ourselves with vegetables. Haha..

Dad redeemed a electric stove with his credit card reward points on Friday, and decided we can use it to grill some meat for lunch today. He bought some bacon, which was very nice and some other parts of the pig to cook.. Then, there were lots of veges.. Capcicum, bean sprouts, needle" mushrooms" etc etc. It was a nice lunch.. But to add to that, my cousin-in-law prepared two huge bowls of salad when we went over for dinner just now. Wa Kao..

My stomach is full of capcicum now.. -.-

Goal!!

Watched Goal! today with FM and Zhongwei.. Nice show.. Seriously.. Some touching moments in between.. And there're twists here and there.. Like wad the script lecturer said, "Give your main character problems in achieving his goal". And that's wad made this show all the more attractive. Now I can appreciate more wad my lecturer meant. Hehe..

Money problems...

Kao. I'm seriously short of cash. Yes.. Seriously.. You know when I say it, I mean it.. Unlike many pple's "broke", they can still rely on the ATM or sth. But me? My ATM is now abit defunct, with less than 20 left in it, I cannot withdraw cash from any ATM. So, I guess.. I can still use the money to top up my transitlink card..

The hols make me poor. Seriously.. I dun get my daily allowances as like during school term. My dad gives me pocket money during hols as and when he likes.. Ziling say that I should open my mouth to ask my dad for money. Haha. But I ain't that kind of person. I was telling her and Gab that.. When I have enough money, I'd not take money from my dad when he gives me on weekends.. Even when he's already taken out the 20bucks, I'd just say, "No need, I have." Or maybe I'd take 10 sometimes, cos I feel 20 is too much. Gab and ZL were swearing and cursing how stupid I am. Haha. Well, I am like that.. I won't ask for money from my dad if it isn't spent on something necessary, like monthly bus concession or project costs.. It's also probably cos I know there's pple out there getting less allowances than me.. So yeah, I'm not complaining..

Now that my sis is working.. Another source of money for me.. Hehe..But no.. I still dun ask her for money.. Even though I say it all the time, and she feels like I'm making her poorer.. C'mon.. It was only once that I sorta forced her to give me money, cos it was her first pay and tht's it. Yep.. I dun ask her for money too, though I do owe her some money.. Lol.. That is she paid first for presents etc.. But oh well.. HEY!!! Where's the chauffeur fee for fetching her from my place to NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, located in the super ULU-ated NTU?! Waking up at 7am on Saturday mornings just to fetch her there... -.-"

Haha, I'm kidding. I'll pay you back one la, sis.. Just wait lor. Wait long will have one.. Promise.. Hehe..

Watched "the terminal" on VCD that I bought some time ago, with my family. Great performance by Tom Hanks.. Good movie I must say. Though we had a hard time catching those bloody American accent.. And Hanks' Russian or wadeva accent, cos no subtitle.. -.- His accent reminds me of a Bulgarian lecturer I had this sem.. Haha.. Next time shall buy DVD, den got subtitle.. Though, very ex. -.-"

I.. I.. Got my A!!

Whoo!! Woke up this morning at 1030 cos I set the alarm.. Took my phone and saw there's a new sms.. Opened it and see some wierd sms, with non-sensical letters here and there.. a few seconds later, realised that it was the school sending us the results.. Wa!! Wahahahaha.. =p I got bloody 2 As!!!! First time in my NP life have I gotten 2 As in a sem.. And they're my 2nd and 3rd one in the entire Np life as well! Haha.. Am I happy.. Got C and C+ for the other 2 modules. Screwed up Presentation in Chinese, got a C+. Damn.. Should have gotten a B at least.. Well, I know my group's last presentation sucked.. Ah Well.. Definitely could have been better.. But overall, no complaints. =)

Caught "The 40 yr old virgin" with my NP gang at West Mall today. It was quite a nice show.. Quite funny. Just the thought of a caucasian guy still being a virgin at the age of 40, is quite unthinkable..

Point being, nice outing with the NP pple.. Been a long time since we hang out together and have some good laughing times together. Heh. The show being M-18, asked Kelly to give the usher tickets.. But the usher was more concerned about the show going to start, and din realise our intention of him checking on the childish looking Kelly for her IC. -.-"

Came back and caught "Beyond the axis of truth II" (Fa Yi X Dang An) on channel 8. The storyline maybe a little absurd, but it's nice nonetheless. And lucky Edmund Chen always get beautiful lead.. ie. Ivy Lee and Zeng Shimei. -.-

A not so boring day, finally..

Yesterday.. worked for Co-Org at a launch event for Ciba Vision.. A new type of contact lens, it's quite cool.. Moisturises automatically when you blink. Whoo.. Haha. Too bad they din offer to give us any samples. Aww.. If not I'd definitely wear it man.. Though it's those one-day lenses..

The event was held at Ciba's factory. Guess where is it?! Tuas South Avenue 3. If you have the time. Go take a look at the street directory or check out the add at www.can.com.sg You'll realise.. I am nearer to Malaysia, than to any housing area in Singapore. Haha.. I was shell-shocked when the cab fare from Boon Lay (the west-est MRT that I can get to) to Ciba's plant was $9.60.. About the fare that it takes to go from Hougang to Chinese High.. -.- And Shihui had to rush off after the Ciba event to go to Changi Airport for another event set-up. WA.. Imagine the cab fare. The uncle can laugh his way home after dropping Shihui already.

It was quite a fun night, though exhausting... Events are usually like that.. Rewarding, yet exhausting.. Kao.. I'm now still abit tired after sleeping 9 hrs.. Shall go work out later.. Heh.. And.. After the event.. Went supper with colleagues and boss. Kao.. They ordered so much much much food... 3 females, 2 guys.. And the other guy is boss, who cannot eat a lot cos "lao3 le".. And the best part.. Cats moved in soon after our food was served.

Mel, our manager.. Is freaking scared of cats. And i stress.. FREAKING SCARED. She was telling us she can jump on hawker chairs in the middle of a meal when cats go too near her. And her family finds it a "total embarrasment" to eat at hawker with her. Hahah... Last night, I got a sight of what she meant.. When the cats are at one table's length away, she would put her legs up on the chair aleady.. We had to spend the whole time chasing cats away, for Mel and our own good. Serious.. It was for our good too..

See, Mel was looking out for the cats constantly. And towards the end of the meal, the cats probably decided to scare her.. When she looked at one of it, it sprinted towards her, and Mel made a double hit.. No, she din endanger the cats with the hits, but innocent colleagues who just happened to be beside her.. Haha.. She first backed into boss and toppled her cup of Teh.. Fortunately for me, I siam-ed fast enough to avoid the Teh but Boss' fingers was crushed in between an umbrella and his own thigh when Mel backed into him. Mel was screaming also, and the few pple left in the hawker looked to our table.. I tell u, lucky it was supper at 1230am.. Not dinner or whatsoever, if not I'd probably have left the place with a paper bag over my head. Haha..

It was a good day all round, finally something different from my mundane daily routine of online session and TV..

Mel scared of "meow". Hahha... Ok, I'm evil. But you should have been there. =D

Fabulous Park

Juz went to watch Fulham vs Man U at a coffee shop with Fei Meng and Zhongwei.. Had an actual early scare, apart from the shock 1st min lead that Fulham took.. FM left his Laptop in the bloody arcade!! How careless can one person get?!?! Ask him.. I dunno also. ZW and I were left speechless..

More on the match.. Park Ji Sung is proving critics wrong that Sir Fergie bought him more for his marketing potential in Asia.. He made 3 goals out of 3 in today's fixture! Whao!! Not even Paul Scholes might have managed that.. First.. Park made a mazy run into the box that split the defence wide open.. Volz had little choice but to catch up from behind and clumsily fell Park.. Penalty! Ruud converted it. The 2nd goal came right after Fulham has restarted the game.. Park picked up the ball about 10 yards outside the penalty box and delivered a defence splitting ball to a on-rushing Rooney.. And how can Rooney miss from therE?! 2-1! Hehe.. Right on the stroke of half-time. PArk beat the offside trap and lured the keeper out to close him down. Unselfishly, he squared the ball to Ruud who tapped the ball into an empty net! 3-2 it was..

Why did I dedicate so much space to write about soccer? Well.. I'm quite proud to say that Park is an Asian.. And he's gonna prove himself on a stage where Europeans dominate and think only they are the best.. He might just be the next silent killer like Scholes was for the past decade. Watch out!

Been quite disciplined the past week regarding my own exercising regime. Heh.. Shall keep up with it man!! =) GOGOGO!!
