No Frills Chalet..
Just got back from chalet at Sentosa with the Gang. Organised in the name of sending me off for NS. Yeah, but I would take it more as a get-together also. Quite nice.It was a no frills chalet. Decided no BBQ, so no need to lug all the frozen food to the chalet and prepare. Heh.. Nice decision, just have packed food all the time and chiong-ed buffet last night at Dragon Gate Restaurant at Harbourfront last night. Damn full, damn song4. Hehe..The fun part of the chalet includes: trying to tune into Indo channels for live coverage of the World Cup. Sent us trying all sorts of things to do it, including waving in the air, switching off handphones, using hangers to hang the satellite dish, and ordering everyone to stat still when the image is good. Also had 2 good days of beach activities, relived my glory days of goalkeeping.. Haha, quite gung ho for awhile until I got bruises on my feet and slowed down abit. Heard from the side somebody said I like Petr Cech. Damn high. lol.. Think I needa work on my stamina in goal keeping, then I'll be up one notch.. =pAnyway, the joke of the whole chalet was at the buffet last night, it was a ala-carte buffet. We ordered fish after fish cos the serving was alright and Jo was fish-deprived and keep wanting to eat.. The 3rd order of fish came, and I commented "How come the fish getting smaller and smaller ah?" GF replied, "We ate the Mom and Dad just now, now the family left the kid only.." There was a temporary silence before everyone, including the waiter, laughed. We burst out laughing. The waiter laughed and held up until he left our table before he burst out laughing too.. And we laughed a good 5 mins before everyone stopped. The waiter laughed until he bent down at the counter la.. Damn funny. And he knew we were looking at him, den he juz raised his hand and waved, signalling "I cannot take it".. Haha.. Fun stuff..Back to Sentosa, tried to be cheapo and take free shuttle, (wait for ticket counter to close, on recommendations from GF).. Backfired damn badly, and ended up embarked on a journey back to chalet by bus 11. -.-" Luckily, we managed to hitch hike from a Sentosa mini-van. Heh.. Shiok.. And we were back in chalet after walking for about 300 metres only. Lol..And so, now back in the comfort of my home, wondering what to do next. 8 days to go...
Last days..
Last days before I shave my head and serve the country. Really have to plan my time well and meet as many pple as possible. And do things I want to. Now that Jo is back, one more companion to accomplish these tasks with. Heh.. And also, GF and Gab are ORD-ed or in ORD-mode liao, so all the betta..Some things I would like to do, alone or with company, includes: taking photos, eat, cycling at ubin, eat, watch some movies, eat, karaoke, eat, catch up with old friends, eat.... Hehe...Been a long time since I update and have a proper MSN convo. No surprises, my usual MSN-timing has been taken up by the event that I worked hard to catch - World Cup! Heh.. Been catching most of the matches, but most of the 3am ones are more of the TV watching me.. Haha.. Oh wells.. Sad to see Korea crash out, France deserved to be sent packing more than the Asian Tigers do. Crap..Made a pair of "army glasses". Cost a bomb. Damn it. Feel so sian, probably cost as much as my metal frame one la. WTF.. 10 more days, chalet tml! Chill man Chill!!! =)
16 Days..
The 'eagerly' and yet much dreaded anticipation of enlistment is into its final leg of countdown. 16 days it is.. Ironic isn't it... Bleh..Quitting the job in 2 days, to have 2 full weeks for myself, friends and family.. Time to go watch the next WC match.. Will be back soon, whenever the schedule permits. Haha..
Diploma Certified..
It was graduation today! Wohooo!! Everybody scream!! 3 years of hardwork, sleepless nights and whatnots, came to fruitation today.. Well, memories of everything from year 1 right through to year 3, will live on in me forever..Basically, year one was the best time. As I told Daryl, on hindsight, it was probably the year that we went through the shitloads of productions and stuffs and enjoyed it thoroughly.. It really helps that I have a wonderful year one gang man.. Rocks! (Ryl will say : Works!) Lol. Er, and on to year two.. Fun mixing around with other people I seldom had chances to interact with in Year One.. The projects were really demanding too, but you can sense that most of us remained on professional terms for projects, rather than building deep and lasting friendships in year one.. Well, of course, with the exception of "sleeping beauty" Budd.. I thank whoever put us together in one class.. And of course, I must thank M1 for not suing me for blasting Budd's phone with countless missed calls when she just "refused" and couldn't wake up to meet online for project. Lol..And to year 3, very individual work in a sense.. Everybody is in this rat race. Hardly had time to catch a breather and have a good chat.. But, it's all over. Aren't we glad? And photo journ was probably the best thing that happened to me in year 3, though I'm still finding my way in shooting photos.. And also meeting great pple like Ancella and Khoong along the way.. =)Anyway, reality struck Daryl and I today when we saw the countless botaks today at grad. We'll be just like them in 3 weeks! Oh my gawddd... Haha.. Daryl is more shocked than I am. I am more prepared, I must say.. Savour every little second left of our freedom man! Tekong beckons..And oh, the most fun part of the grad ceremony today was the cheering part for other people.. Especially the part when we gave Boss a standing ovation.. Can't help it la, she's our boss. Haha.. Rocks man. Get 8 awards altogether, including the 2 most prestigiuos ones. Wad did you do!?!?! Bleh...Pple reading this from non-MCM. If you see a petite little woman on tv or hear a nice voice on radio from a celebrity called Shu Ling 5 yrs down the road. She's my fren! Haha... Wanna get autograph, pay me! Bwahahhaa... Ok, it's 3am and I'm high on sleep shortage. Haha.
Back home..
Yesh! And I am back, safely and peacefully in one whole piece from Taiwan. But this one whole piece of me has probably gained a few kilos from the week of incessant eating and gorging due to the great hospitality of Taiwanese friends.. A truly enjoyable 10 days, wouldn't have mind staying longer if not for the fact that I miss my friends already. Haha. And also for better WC coverage. You see, the stupid Taiwanese actually have COMMERICALS during a live telecast of a World Cup football match!!! WTF to the max... Respect the game can?!Er, it was a great trip nonetheless, I can plan to go with friends after my NS already. Haha.. Easy to get around, no langauge barriers. Great scenery, great food, great tourism industry, not expensive. Wad else can you ask for?! (maybe less threat of flood might do the trick) But oh, this time round, the weather has been real cool. Hovering at 25-28 deg C.. Never sweat the whole week man! Heh...Alright. It's 3am, off to watch my Azzuri play Ghana. Will update soon again!
Happy Birthday ZL!!
