Doing fine

I'm doing fine. The ankle's recovering well. I'm still limping a bit though, just to be on the safe side. But the wound is healing fine and I can put certain amount of pressure on the ankle, and a bit of rotation, though I try not to. Again, to be on the safe side.

Been playing games, watch tv, vcd. Watched "An Inconvenient Truth" on DVD and was really impressed with the amount of work Al Gore put in to gather that much data in his slide show. It's a must see for all I guess. Because, global warming as I've learnt in textbooks 10 yrs ago, though it was giving us a stern warning back then already, the contents are pretty much an understatement and outdated. Global warming is more real than ever. The effects are already here. Hurricane Katrina in New Orleons 2 years ago was one such example.

Watching the film, watching Al Gore also made me curious about how he lost that election in 2000. So I looked it up in Wikipedia and read a bit on American President Election system. What can I say, Land of the Free. Their election system is damn complicated.. For the record, Al Gore won a majority in the popular vote, but lost in the count of electoral votes. Florida was the state in the spotlight. Read up Wikipedia if you are interested. =)

Today is by far the most rewarding day since I had the operation. Hope more of these days ahead. I'm beginning to plan my post-ord trips. hehe.. Found a partner to go SEA backpack with. Yeah! And Daryl wanna goes to some beach resort to chill. 2 trips in the pipeline already. =)
