The fate of Support..

Well, Support Coy is becoming the sai-kang company in my Battalion. A lot of shit work thrown to us. "The Ultimate Sai-Kang", as my OC calls it, came on Friday.. We had to go into Tekong to dig a shell scrape and fire trench as examples for the recruits to see, who are having their field camp now.. Hai.. And a couple more coming up in the next week.. So going back to Tekong again tml and supposedly Wednesday, but got my review with the orthopaedic specialist and OC is kind enough to let me go for my appointment instead. So yeah, results of my MRI will be out on Wednesday. Ok, some rambles about my ankle before I know the result.. The physios have been saying I probably need some exercises to strengthen the muscles around the ligament, as I haven't really torn any of them beyond redemption. Thing is, the process can be quite long, and meanwhile, I'd still have to do all the chiong-sua thing, which means no rest for the ankle. -.-" So, in that way, I'd prefer it more if my specialist told me I might need a surgery. Haha, but the rehab process can be lengthy too. So what the heck. Back to square one..

Watched "Just Follow Law" again, in camp this time with my fellow specs on Thursday.. Well, a lot of them were complaining that the show had no meaning, and very lame. Lame, probably yes, but only because of the jokes cracked? I seriously think it's a good film. Better than "san ge hao ren" which was a bit of a propaganda eh.. "Just Follow" reflected the environment that the workforce is facing today.. The soul switching of Fann Wong and Gurmit was probably "lame and out of point". But why can't people see it beyond the entertainment bit of it, with Gurmit acting sissy and Fann Wong going "na bei".. The switch helped portray how different in mentality the "top" executives and the "bottom" workers have. And that with a little bit more of understanding and unity between them, things can get done better.. no?

Anyway, went for a tour of the National Stadium yesterday with Sis, her friends and a cousin, and her friends too. Was rather gloomy, don't know why. Just a bit sian.. The tour was quite alright, caught C.Kunalan, who was there to add some weight to the tour. He is a funny chap. Cracking jokes frequently during the short 15 mins that he was with us. One thing on my itinery is to go back to National Stadium on my own, with a SLR, to take some pictures before it is torn down. Anybody who wants to go with me?!

The coming week is rather sian. There's some stupid blood donation drive in camp on a Saturday! Don't know what time it'll end. Sucks to the core. And the bloody thing is I have guard duty on Sunday!! Meaning.. I won't spend another night at home till June! Boooo.. Sucks.. That leaves me with 2 weekends before Guards Conversion starts. Must spend them wisely...
