Guards?!?!

Ok, I've got my posting. And it's sending me crazy.. I GOT POSTED TO GUARDS!!! Like wad the hell?! Why am I posted there?!

For those out there who doesn't know what Guards is, it is basically one of the more special force in the Army. Half way commando, some may say. Something like that, get the picture? All servicemen's jaws basically drop when they hear that you're posted to Guards or Commandos that kind of thing. To paint a clearer picture, the physical tests standards are more demanding than the normal Army troops, and even though I'm only a Combat Engineer in Guards, I still have to achieve those standards. IppT gold for 2.4km is no longer 9:44, it's 9:14 now. The SOC timing is no longer 9:59, it's 9:29 now. And even the last SOC that I ran that I was so proud of and almost died from, was 9:32.. And of the 4 posted to my unit, I supposedly have the best timing. Now, it's ridiculous. Because, a lot of IPPT gold holder got posted to admin jobs in HQ of Engineers! Isn't it just... Amusing?!

I was basically in awe and shock after the posting was announced. The usual jovial me was gone, depression set in. My section mates can swear for my words.. Damn damn sian... Until today, I still couldn't believe my "luck". Anyway, posting was arranged by the instructors. My sgt told me I had the garang factor in me. Er, ya, well true. But my physical sucks big time, period. Argh... I dunno how I can handle it. My ankle's giving way, even during this weekend, it's reminding me of its state with the constant soreness. Sigh. Bright side? Well, I guess you'll meet a lean and fit me till I ORD. Ha.. I'd appreciate it only if it help me to get a girlfriend. hahahaha...
