If you haven't noticed..

Quick update on a personal level, field camp has come and gone. Shag. Really nearly collapse on the 2nd day due to lack of rest and probably never eat enough also. I probably lost like 2 or 3 kg in the 4 days. I weighed like 72 kg when I came home yesterday???? Haha, I wondered when was the last time I was this close to 70. So passing out is on Thursday. Finally, end of another course!! Now for the next one, will only know the posting on Thursday itself. But I'm looking forward to a slack week and having some good time with friends... Only a 28km route march on wednesday to slightly worry about. Heh..

Anyway, if you haven't been reading the papers (as if I did, but I found out something that's disappointing), and that is we're set for another GST hike.. to 7% i heard.. Well, I think we can leave all the feelings to coffeeshop talks lest we get sued or what. But if you haven't noticed, here're some things I noticed.

It is the election year (too bad it passed so no goodies, now for the hard part). I think some of the opposition leaders were warning about Tax hikes. I think they can really retire from the game of politics and go Chinatown set up fortune telling stores, think they'll help alot of Singaporeans strike 4D over weekends. I'm sure.

Another thing, The Sunday Times today (19 Nov 2006), turn to Page 6. An article on a Finn who moved to Sg in search of lower taxes. Haha, need I say more? Really, do you need me to say more??? The power of media, you get it? And talk about timeliness..

I haven't got the time and energy to find out what else was discussed in Parliament. Well, but I guess I'm in for some cash "windfall" from government that'll be paid back to them eventually thru my bubble tea and bak chor mee or even the tissue paper i use. Herh..
